History

Casino Sounds concept was to become a label focused on recordings of Cuban ‘retro’ music. Innovative products that did benefit from the popularity of the old musicians but also seeking to take the market in new directions with stylish, energetic young Cuban musicians - thus creating Cuban ‘retro hip’. Some of this jewels of music still unreleased. Casinosounds project one was the album "mi casa, su casa" by Los Fakires. Signed and released by Universal Music. The second casinosounds album, "Tresencia" by Paco Canals (“El Gordo”) one of the young masters of the "tres", Cuba’s unique traditional guitar. The third project was the last album by the late great Raul Planas, Cuba's last Sonero Mayor. Another very important casinosounds project was the ownership and creation of the “Saratoga Band” recreating the Cuban dance band sound which, with its rumba/conga/mambo/Afro-Cuban rhythms, took the world by storm in the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s. Signed and released by Sony Classical. Our star unreleased collection of cuban music "Cuba la Vida" exciting new interpretations of the classics of Cuba’s golden age by some of the island’s hottest musicians. Cuba la Vida I: Mama Inez. Cuba la Vida II: Suavecito. Cuba la Vida III: Siboney. Cuba la Vida IV: La Mulata Cubana. And the last but not the least, the most successful project of casino sounds: SKA CUBANO

Initially the management division for casino sound´s artists has later open to other kinds of music – ska, R&B, and rock. Being driven partly by the process of talent-spotting.
